Radio Pioneer Art Bell Passes at 72!

Art gave me (and all of us) literally 1000’s of hours of entertainment and information over the 30+ years I listened to his Show: The Art Bell Show, later: Coast to Coast with Art Bell. He actually got me through some rough times, and also Inspired me to get into Radio!

He was a true Pioneer of Radio, and we all owe him a big debt! An Air Force Veteran, like myself, I began listening in my teens, sometimes far into the night and early morning hours.

He was born on the 17th of June, one day after my birthday (only 19 year earlier).  …And he was a Master Number Life Path: 33/6, just like myself! …The Master Teacher/Master Healer Number!

He would talk about and cover the Topics that other Radio Hosts were afraid to! Conspiracies, Ghosts, Tarot, Astrology, Aliens, UFOs, The Occult, Magick, Secret Societies, Alternative Medicine, Fringe Science, and the list goes on…..

This led to my interest not only in Radio, but Hypnotherapy, NLP, The Power of The Mind, Tarot, Numerology, Sacred Geometry, and more!

He noticed that the episodes of his show covering the paranormal and conspiracy theories generated the most interest, so he changed his format from Political Talk to these often Forbidden Topics…

…And he was RIGHT! ….There was (is) a HUGE audience out there for this! At his peak, Bell was heard on some 500 radio stations nationwide, from the 1990’s thru the 2000’s. He retired more than once and even had a brief stint on SiriusXM satellite radio in 2013.

Former business partner Alan Corbeth said during Bell’s 2008 induction into the National Radio Hall of Fame that nobody was better than Bell at understanding “how to create theater of the mind…”
